Georgia Power Company has reviewed the preliminary results of the NRC evaluation of the Plant Hatch Units 1 and 2 response to NRC IE Bulletin 79-01B that was provided in your letter of April 1,1981.
Georgia Power has conducted a review of these potential deficiencies and has made an assessment of the impact on the safe operation of the Hatch Nuclear Plant.
Our findings have confirmed that in the interim, none of these potential deficiencies will significantly impact the safe operation of Plant Hatch. Based on the results of this review, we have concluded that Plant Hatch Units 1 and 2 can continue to operate safely.
In accordance with the provisions of your April 1,1981, letter, it is our intention to provide an item-by-item reevaluation in a detailed documented manner at a later date.
