ENCLOSURE (1)

REPLY TO APPENDIX A OF NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-317/81-25; 50-318/81-24 Due to the nature of the violation found during the NRC inspection, no corrective steps were required at the time of the violation. In order to avoid future violations, we will incorporate in plant procedures the requirement to move the non-fuel assembly Special Nuclear Material (SNM) inside the security fence within 10 days. When the non-fuel assembly SNM is inside the fence it will be controlled by the existing SNM procedures.

The procedure change will be made prior to the next receipt of non-fuel assembly SNM.
