I am in receipt of a copy.of'a letter to you dated June 24, 1999 from'the New 7th Democratic Civic Club Inc. wherein they express their

. support for the license renewal of the nuclear reactor licenses for BGE's Calvert Cliffs Power Plant.(Copy enclosed for reference)

The club also expresses their concerns with the renewal process

-and the amount of time for'public' comment, in addition to their reliance on the commissions continued efforts to protect our communities from incompetent or irresponsible nuclear plant operators in close proximity to our state.

It is quite apparent that the members of'the New 7th have done a i

. great deal of research and expended considerable time on this matter.

I would therefore appreciate your consideration.in addressing their concerns and recommendations addressed in their letter.
