(b) Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Performance improvement Plan-Implementation Program Revision 1, March 8,1990 I

(Section 5.2.2, Surveillance Test Program) 1 Gentlemen:

i The Baltimore Gas and Electric Company wishes to revise the scheduled completion date for implementation of computerized trei. Jing of surveillance test data. The June 1,

1990 completion date mentioned in Reference (a) was based on a preliminary schedule developed for the original Performance Improvement Plan. Subsequent to the submission of Reference (a), an integrated schedule and resource allocation plan was developed

[

which superseded the original schedule. Consequently, the commitment in Reference (a) concerning trending of data will be completed in accordance with the overall schedule for Action Plan 5.2.2, Surveillance Test Program, of the Performance improvement Plan-Implementation Program (PIP-IP). The schedule currently shows a December 28, 1990 completion date for this task.

References (a) and (b) describe an extensive effort to improve the Surveillance Test Program. The original scope of the Surveillance Test Program improvements are substantially complete. One of the final parts of the original scope of the Improvement effort was the development and implementation of a computerized trending program for Surveillance Test Data.

The Reference (a) commitment that "all surveillance data suitable for trending will be added to the automated application" is progressing. Currently, the In-service Test ASME Section XI test data is computerized and will be integrated into the new Condition Monitoring Trend Data Base. We are evaluating which other data should be trended and integrated into the Condition i

Monitoring Trend Data Base. Again, this task will be completed in accordance with the i

schedule for PIP-IP Action Plan 5.2.2.
