Dear Mr Denton:
This letter is a follow-up response to Kansas Gas and Electric Company's letter (reference) informing you of the construction progress of Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit No. 1 (WCGS).
The WCGS owners are in the process of making a complete reevaluation of the WCGS construction schedule and the rate of construction progress at the plant. The April 1983 fuel load target date may have to be slipped a few months, however, a final determination can not be made until the re-evaluation study is completed. If our roevaluation results in a change to the WCGS fuel load date, the NRC will be promptly informed. We do urge che NRC to continue processing the WCGS License Application to your current schedule.
This letter serves as the first quarterly construction progress update for WCGS which you requested. The next update will bc provide 1 December 15, 1981.
