Dear Mr. Seidle:

As indicated in my letter of February 8,1980, (Reference (b)),

we have concluded our investigation into the use of an oversize -

head on our Tinius-Olson compressive strength testing machine.

We have concluded that the use of the oversize head has no safety significance and that Regulation 10CFR50.55(e) is not applicable. Data to support this conclusion is available at the Wolf Creek Site and may be reviewed during any future site inspection.
