Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

In our 5 day report Serial No. 539 concerning Steam Generator level errors during accident conditions we indicated that the problem was being studied by Westingnouse.

We have been inforr.ed by Westinghouse that further evaluation of the proolen is required therefore we are sending this letter as an interim re-port on this tratter.

Work is continuing and we are trying to fonnulate a viable solution to this problem. We will continue to werk with Westinghouse and to keep you informed of the progress on this problem.
