Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
Inspection of all safcty related North Anna Unit 2 systems has been completed to verify the conformance of these systems with their descriptions in the Final Safety Analysis Report.
These inspections were performed using station FM drawings. Station FM draw-ings are far more comprehensive and detailed than the FSAR system drawings which include only equipment necessary for operation of the system. For example, FM drawings include vents, drains, spare connections and other non-essential equipment not shown in the FSAR. System inspections revealed several instances in which systems were not entirely as specified in the FM drawing.
In every case, these descrepancies were minor in nature, involving components not included in the FSAR drawing, and wou'd not have af fected the ability of the systems to perform as specified. Based on these system inspections, and on the inconsequential nature of all descrepancies identified we have concluded that all safety related North Anna Unit 2 systems are now completed as described in the FSAR.
