SUMMARY
OF THE MAY 26, 2016, MONTICELLO PUBLIC MEETING On May 26, 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public meeting at the Albertville Community Center in Albertville, Minnesota, to discuss the 2015 annual assessment results for Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant. Enclosure 1 is a list of attendees for the meeting. Enclosure 2 is a copy of the slides used by the NRCs staff during the meeting and is a copy of the slides used by the licensee.
At the meeting, the NRC provided an overview of the reactor oversight program, the results of the 2015 annual assessment for Monticello, and the NRCs inspection plans for 2016. The NRCs presentation was followed by statements from the Monticello Site Vice President and other site management which included site priorities regarding human performance and equipment reliability.
After the business part of the meeting ended, NRC and Monticello representatives listened to comments and addressed several questions from the public.
