.B13527/Page 2 May 15, 1990 Recall that these. manuals are used to augment classroom, simulator, and on-the-job instruction provided by the Nuclear Training Department in the various operator training programs.

Other controlled plant documents and training materials 'are also used as required to cover the total scope of each program.

While a careful effort has been ' directed toward the content accuracy of the manuals and these updates, it should be recognized that these manuals are nat considered QA or design documents.

Also, their update frequencies are based on training delivery needs and other training priorities.. Ther efore, the training inanuals should not be used for researching or evaluating specific design criteria and operating requirements.

We hope the information contained in the manuals and these updates continues to be helpful to the staff.
