' 'for repair of the B Low Head Safety injection Pump (1-SI-P 1B). The cause of the violation was stated to be a purchasing error in that the. purchase order to procure the .

necessary parts was cancelled because the order did not meet the minimum billing requirements. Further, we committed to develop . a purchasing procedure to preclude the error of not meeting the minimum requirements for billing by June 1990.  ;

i We have performed a review of the corrective-actions that were to be implemented and have determined that the violation was an isolated peronnel error.- The Virginia l Electric and Power Company Nuclear Purchasing ~ Guidellne Manual delineates the l

steps to. be taken when placing a purchase request' on hold. Specifically,- the  ;

Requisitioning Group is advised in writing when a problem exists, and makes the appropriate disposition according to a ; written response. receiv_ed from the -

Requisitioning Group. Therefore, an additional purchasing- procedure will not be -

required.
