Haddam Neck Plant Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit Nos.1,2, and 3 Response to IE Bulletin No. 85-02 On November 5,1985(l) the NRC Office of Inspection and Enforcement issued IE Bulletin No. 35-02,"Undervoltage Trip Attachments of Westinghouse DB-50 Type Reactor Trip Breakers," to all power reactor licensees and applicants.
The bulletin listed required actions for licensees of currently operating Westinghouse PWR facilities that have not yet implemented the actuation of Reactor Trip Breaker (RTB) shunt trip coil on all automatic reactor trip signals.
The requirements of the bulletin are not applicable to Haddam Neck or to Millstone Unit Nos.1,2, and 3 as discussed below:
1.Had am Neck Plant - As desc ibed in the response to Generic Letter 83-28(2 , all automatic and manual trip signals operate both the undervoltage and shunt trip attachments for the two series-connected scram breakers.
- 2. Millstone 1 - Not applicable to BWRs.
- 3. Millstone 2 - Not applicable to C-E plants.
