DOCKET N0S, 50-413 AND 50-414 This acknowledges the receipt of your letter of April 1,1988, which trans-mitted Revision 19 to the Catawba Physical Security Plan.

Our review of .the changes has found the change to Chapter 3 to be consistent with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p). Accordingly, it is acceptable for inclusion into the plan. Those changes addressing the description of vital equipment / systems have been referred to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) for review and disposition. You will be advised by separate correspondence on the results of the NRR review.- Ms C. Perny, of this office, advised Mr. R. Cross, of your staff, on May 20, 1988, of this action.

The enclosure to your letter is being withheld from public disclosure because it contains Safeguards Information and must be protected in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 73.21.
