. Docket Nos. 50-413 and 50-414 Technical Specification Amendment Unit 1 Cycle 7 Reload

. Attached are changes to the Catawba Nuclear Station Technical Specifications which will be required for operation of Catawba Unit 1 Cycle 7. Similar changes, reflecting the use of Duke methodology, have been submitted and approved for the operation of McGuire Nuclear Station as Amendment 128/110 for Unit I and Amendment 130/112 for Unit 2.

The marked up Technical Specifications and Bases pages are included in Section 8.1 of the Catawba Unit 1 Cycle 7 Reload Report (Attachment 1). Attachment 2 contains the Technical Justification for these changes, and Attachment .3 contains the No Significant

- Hazards Analysis and Environmental Impact Statement.

It is requested that this submittal receive timely review and approval in order to meet the schedule for the Catawba Unit 1, Cycle 7 startup. Starrip is currently scheduled for September 3,1992.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.01 (b)(1), the appropriate South Carolina official is being provided a copy of this amendman request.
