Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station Unit One Startup Test Report Summary NRC Docket No. 50-254

Dear Dr. Murley:

Enclosed for your information and use is the Quad Cities Station Unit One Cycle 14 Startup Test Report Summary. This report is submitted in accordance with Technical Specification DPR-29. Section 6.6. A.1.

Quad Cities Unit One Cycle 14 began commercial operation on August 28. 1994 following a refueling outage. The Unit One Cycle 14 core loading consists of 144 fresh fuel bundles (8x8 GE10 fuel) and 580 reload bundles.

All test data taken to date has been reviewed in accordance with applicable station procedures. Exceptions from any criteria were evaluated to verify compliance with Technical Specification limits to ensure the acceptability of subsequent test results.

Attached are the evaluations of the following tests:

  • Core Verification
  • Initial Critical Prediction Due to a forced shutdown, the Core Power Symmetry Analysis test has not been completed. In accordance with Technical Specification DPR-29. Section 6.6. A.1, a su)plemental report will be submitted in three months or when the test is completed, whichever is earlier.
