Dear Mr. Thomas:
Thank you for your letter dated March 16, 1984 regarding the NRC staff review of our Emergency Plan which was submitted in October 1982.
Due to the fact that our reactor staff is presently intensively involved rewriting the Technical Specifications and Safety Analysis Report as a part of our license renewal efforts, it will be very difficult to meet your May 15, 1984 deadline for receipt of the ad-ditional information.
We were diverted from our progress on the license renewal documents by approximately one month while we responded to the Region III com-pliance inspection following our December 29, 1983 reportable event.
We hereby request that the deadline for our reply to your request for additional information be extended from May 15, 1984 to July 15, 1984.
