Dear Mr. Stello:
This will acknowledge your letter of June 29, about the University of Missouri - Rolla application to the NRC for renewal of Reactor License R-79, Docket No. 50-123.
Chancellor Marchello has discussed this matter with me and has given assurance that the staff involved in backdating the application fully understand the serious nature of this irregularity, and that under no circumstance will any future actions of this nature be tolerated.

The administrator most directly responsible has been replaced, and other personnel involved in this infraction have been reprimanded.
We regret this incident and +-ust this report will serve to resolve a a clos the matter.
