Dear Mr. Norelius:

This letter is to inform you that the staff at the UMR Reactor Facility and the campus Health Physicist, Ray Bono, have reviewed the 600-series of the Standard Operating Procedures, which have to do with radiation protection matters. We have re-written several of them (see the enclosed) and they have been put into effect as of this week.

There are a couple of the SOP's, 601, Decontamination Procedures 602, Handling Injured in Radiation Accidents, which did not need a revision. Their technical content is adequate; however, their format could be improved and they will be changed to our new format later.

We hope that you will find these recently-revised SOP's to be satisfactory.

Sincerely, Albert E. Bolon Director cc.
