Dear Mr. Norelius:

Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFT 2.201 we submit to your office a written statement in reply to the item cited in the aforementioned Notice of Violation:

1. Corrective action was taken by the Reactor Management resulting in the inclusion of the analysis of possible hazards in the Form 702 (UMR Reactor Irradiation Request Form). Furthermore, Reactor Operating Staff was advised not to perform any irradiation experiment until the Form 702 has been properly completed.
2. There will be no further noncompliance beginning with the date on which the corrective action was implemented.
3. Compliance with the Section 6.2.2 of the Technical Specifications was achieved on November 4, 1983.
