VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 STATUS OF THE POST ACCIDENT SAMPLING SYSTDI This letter is to inform your Staff of the status of the North Anna 1 and 2 Post Accident Sampling System. On December 28, 1982, a containment air sample was successfully drawn into the system and was successfully analyzed using the chemical analysis equipment. On December 29, 1982, a reactor coolant sample was successfully drawn into the system and was also successfully analyzed using the chemical analysis equipment. This demonstrates the capability to promptly obtain and perform radioisotopic and chemical analysis of reactor coolant and containment atmosphere samples. Therefore, the North Anna 2 License Condition 2.C(21)(e) and North Anna 1 NUREG-0737, Item II.B.3 commitment have been satisfied.
