By letter dated April 5,1982 you requested that we clarify a portion of our letter dated September 1, 1981 which responded to NRC Generic Letter 81-01, " Qualification of Inspection, Examination, Testing, and Audit Personnel," dated May 4, 1981, regarding Plant Hatch - Units 1 and 2.
Specifically, you requested the following additional information:
Regarding Revision 1 of Regulatory Guide 1.58, Georgia Power Company states, in the September 1 letter, that, "
. ..we believe that we are currently in compliance .. .." In lieu of these words we require either, a) a clear commitment to comply, or b) any alternate methods proposed to satisfy Regulatory Guide 1.58.
In response, Georgia Power Cumpany reaffirms our comitment to confor'n with Regulatory Positions C.5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 of Regulatory Guide 1.58, Revision 1 as stated in our September 1, 1981, response. With regard to schedule, to the best of our knowledge, the present programs now in place at Plant Match are in conformance with the intent of the above referenced regulatory positions as requested by your May 4,1981 letter.
