V ng.s % G River Bend Station Docket No. 50-458/ Unit 1 Docket No. 50-459/ Unit 2 In response to your November 16, 1981 letter, Gulf States Utilities Company (GSU) will include Mr. Harold Denton on the distribution list for copies of the River Bend Station (RBS) Unit I and 2 quarterly construction network update submittals to NUREG-0030. * '
The quarterly submittals are sent on the fifteenth day after the first of every quarter to the NRC's Office of Management and Program Analysis. The cover letter which transmits the quarterly construction network will include information confirming the projected fuel load and commercial operation dates to assist'Mr. Denton in updating the "Beville Report" provided to Congress. Additionally, any significant schedule changes regarding the projected fuel load and commercial operation dates for RBS will be submitted in a . separate letter to Mr.
Denton independent of our quarterly submittals to NUREG-0030.
As you noted in your November 16, 1981 letter, the "Beville Report" provides updated information to Congress periodically on preliminary schedules for facilities projecting plant completion in late 1982 or in 1983. GSU has recently announced an extension of RBS's fuel load date to April 1, 1985.in a letter dated December 4, 1981 to Mr. Denton. Since our completion date on RBS is no longer within the late 1982 or 1983 timeframe of the "Beville Report", GSU requests that your office confirm the necessity to continue providing-quarterly updates to Mr. Denton. GSU will continue to send Mr. Denton a copy of our quarterly construction network update submittals to NUREG-0030 until otherwise notified.
