(Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2006)

The plant operated safely Plant was in licensee response column of the Action Matrix for the first three quarters of 2006 Plant was in regulatory response column of the Action Matrix for the fourth quarter of 2006 NRC will conduct a supplemental inspection to address a white emergency preparedness inspection finding using inspection procedure 95001 NRC plans baseline and extended power uprate inspections for the remainder of 2007 15

Safety Significant Findings or PIs z All performance indicators were green (very low safety significance) in 2006 z One white finding (low to moderate safety significance) z One finding under Traditional Enforcement z Eight green inspection findings were identified during the year 16

NRC Inspection Findings / Issues at Beaver Valley z White Finding in Emergency Preparedness z Dose Assessment Procedure inadequacy could have resulted in an untimely protective action recommendation z Procedure changes have been implemented z Severity Level III Violation and Confirmatory Order z Contract Engineer falsified design documentation for the Unit 1 reactor vessel head and steam generator replacement projects z Design documentation has been corrected 17

Beaver Valley (Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2006)
