NRC Annual Assessment Summary Beaver Valley

  • FENOC operated the plant safely and in a manner that preserved public health and safety and protected the environment
  • BV ended the year in the Licensee Response column of the NRCs Action Matrix. The station was in the Regulatory Response column for the first two quarters of 2007 based on a white emergency preparedness finding
  • All cornerstone objectives were fully met
  • NRC plans baseline inspections at Beaver Valley for the remainder of CY 2008. Additional inspections are planned in the areas of license renewal, power uprate, and mitigation strategies 19
