Mr. Jerome Sal tzman, Chief Office of Antitrust & Indemnity Nuclear Reactor Regulation Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, D. C. 20555 Re: Edwin 1. Hatch Nuclear Plant Baxley, Georgia Unit i Indemnity Fee

Dear Mr. Sal tzman:

It has been brought to our attention that effective January 1, 1979, the Indemnity fee has been reduced to $6.00 per megawatt thermal. Please accept Georgia Power Company's application for immediate reimbursernent of the overpayment which this developes.

By my calculation, the new rate applies to 213 days of the $29,232.00 paid through August 1, 1979, making $8,529.33 eligible for reimbursement.

Thank you for your consideration of this application.

Yours very truly,

-
