Dear Mr. Chilk:

By Order dated December 19, 1985 (CLI-85-19) in the captioned proceeding, the Commission invited written submissions regarding the possible involvement of Mr. Robert C. Arnold in an alleged material false _ statement. The alleged material false statement is found in a response fil.ed by Metropolitan Edison Company on December 5, 1979 to a Notice of violation.

The Commission has received comments from seven parties (including the NRC Staff) in response to its Order. The enclosed letter from Mr. ArnoldWe makes three request observations that the Commission regarding those submissions.
