Dear Mr. Berry:
I am writing to you ' about the NRC Staf f 's - request for, admis--
sion number 102,--which I understand you authored and which' stat.
ed:
That.certain Bechtel' employees, including TMI-2 Director Kanga, refused to swear to the truth of statements made by them to a repre-sentative of the United States Department of
' Labor,(DOL), in connection with the DOL in-vestigation of a complaint filed by Mr. Parks charging Bechtel'with violations of the employee protection provision and the Atomic Energy Act.
In-a telephone conversation with you on Friday, I informed you that inquiry with Mr. Kanga and Bechtel counsel indicated'that this statement-is untrue.
I requested that you iden'cify any other particular Bechtel employees to whom the requvst was meant to refer so that I could contact them.and pursue tre matter' fur-ther..You refused to identify any particular individuals.
I also asked for the same reason that you identify the source of l
the statement.
You refused unless I put the request in writing.
