Dear Mr. Chilk:
By Order dated December 19, 1985 (CLI-85-19) in the the Commission invited written captioned proceeding, submissions regarding the possible involvement of Mr. Robert C. Arnold in an alleged material false _ statement.
The alleged material false statement is found in a response fil.ed by Metropolitan Edison Company on December 5, 1979 to a Notice of violation.
The Commission has received comments from seven parties (including the NRC Staff) in response to its Order.
The enclosed letter from Mr. Arnold makes three observations regarding those submissions.
We request that the Commission consider his observations during its deliberations.
A copy of his letter is being provided to those persons who submitted comments to the Commission in rcsponse-to its December 19, 1985 order, as noted in the attached certificate of service.
Please note that the undersigned is counsel to Mr. Arnold only, and that Mr. Wallace, who joined in$the hearing request, is represented by separate counsel.
