        " Petition for Reconsideration of ALAB-841" (Petition) in the referenced proceeding. The Petition asks the Appeal Board to reconsider the decision in ALAB-841, issued on July 25, 1986, concerning certain matters related to the hydrogen control and TDI diesel generator issues raised by OCRE at the
,        hearing. In accordance with the Appeal Board's guidance on responses to l        petitions for reconsideration set forth in Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company i        (Maine Yankee Atomic Power Station), AL AB-166, 6 AEC 1148, 1150 n.7 (1973), and reiterated in Houston Lighting and Power Company (Allens Creek Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1), ALAB-544, 9 NRC 630, 631 (1979), and Metro 3olitan Edison Company, et al.      (Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit No. .), ALAB-766, 19 NRC 981, 983 n.6 (1984), the NRC Staff does not intend to respond to OCRE's Petition unless requested to respond by the Appeal Board.
