SUMMARY

OF NOVEMBER 27,2012 MEETING WITH DOMINION ENERGY KEWAUNEE ON IMPLEMENTATION OF ORDERS RE: JAPAN LESSONS LEARNED EFFORT (TAC NO. MD7112)

On November 27,2012, a Category 1 public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of DEK at NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the plans by DEK to apply orders and recommendations from the Japan Lessons Learned effort to Kewaunee Power Station during current operations and through its transition to permanent shutdown status. A list of attendees is provided as Enclosure 1.

The licensee presented information as described in its handout (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12346A247) regarding its options to ensure compliance with orders during its transition to closure and decommissioning and sought NRC feedback.

The licensee summarized the activities that they planned for permanent shutdown and their long term fuel strategy.

Members of the public were in attendance. Public Meeting Feedback forms were not received.
