PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE POINT BEACH AND KEWAUNEE NUCLEAR PLANT REACTOR VESSEL HEAD REPLACEMENT ACTIVITIES IN SUPPORT OF NRC INSPECTION PER PROCEDURE 71007
Dear Mr. Coutu:
This refers to the public meeting held on July 03, 2003, in Lisle, Illinois, to discuss the Nuclear Management Companys (NMC) Reactor Pressure Vessel Head Replacement Project. At this meeting, Mr. Wadley and other NMC managers presented information about the Reactor Pressure Vessel Head Replacement Project planned for the Kewaunee and Point Beach Nuclear Plants. This meeting served to facilitate NRC planning and scheduling for NRC inspections to be conducted as part of inspection procedure 71007, Reactor Vessel Head Replacement.
The handouts provided at the meeting by the NMC staff and a listing of principal NRC and Nuclear Management Company attendees are attached as Enclosures 1 and 2 to this letter.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs Rule of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records System (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
