Kewaunee: question concerning personnel fatigue management Jack, I received a question concerning fatigue management (human performance). Can you confirm if you have implemented a MDO alternative (otherwise known as the 54 maximum average) on January 1, 2012?

On 1/3/2012, Jack Gadzala called and provided the following information:

1 - Kewaunee did not start the 54 Average process on 1/1/12 due to lack of operational software (EmpCenter) from the vendor to support the 54 Average calculations.

2 - EmpCenter is widely used in industry (I did not ask for details). However, the 54 Average calculation appears not to be ready for anyone. Thus, a Kewaunee deployment date is not yet determined.

3 - Kewaunees primary POC for the 54 Average process is MaryJo Haese (who I know).

She is to advise me when a forecasted date for adoption is provided by the vendor.

Questions for you (Mike) a - Do you need more detail or a conference call for direct contact?

b - Is this message from me adequate or do you need the licensee to provide this information in an email message (I discussed this contingency with Jack in case it would be necessary)?

c - Noting the large distribution on Undines original message below, is my response just to you adequate?

Kewaunee Part 26 question

Karl, Can you confirm that Kewaunee is implementing the alternative cumulative fatigue management provision called the MDO alternative, otherwise known as the 54 maximum average. Thanks Karl, it is good that I can finally ask you a Kewaunee question!
