For the Big Rock Point Plant, the third inservice inspection interval commenced on January 1, 1992, and the code required per paragraph (b) of 50.55a for usage is the 1986 Edition of ASME Section XI with no addenda.
This code was incorporated in the Code of Federal Regulations-Energy, Title 10, Parts 0 to 50 as of January 1, 1991.

This letter also allowed the extension-of the first interval examinations until the end of the 1983 refueling outage, but required the second interval start January 1,1982. The January 1, 1997 start date for the third inspection interval was selected based oil the above discussion. This outage began on November 29, 1991, and was originally scheduled to end on February 7, 1992.
