PROCEDURE TRANSMITTAL TESTING OF ANCHOR RODS AND EMBEDS CALLAWAY PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 We are transmitting herewith one copy of Bechtel's transmittal letter BLUE-710, dated July 16, 1980, Testing Program for Embedded Plates, Callaway Jobsite, with its enclosure, subject as above.

Please review this procedure and furnish us your comments by July 25, 1980.

Our present schedule for testing the embeds and anchor rods is as follows:

Lab Tests - Tension & bend tests on anchor rods -

week of August 4, 1980.

Field Test - Testing of installed machine-welded embeds - week of August 11, 1980.

Issue Final Report - October 1, 1980 If possible, these dates will be expedited. We will inform you of any revisions to the schedule.

By copy of this letter, we are transmitting a copy of this material directly to Mr. E. Gallagher.
