Docket No. 50-482: Revision of Two Procedures that Implement the Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS)

Commissioners and Staff:

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(5), WCGS is submitting a change to the emergency plan.

Two procedures that implement the WCGS RERP have been revised. The revised documents are identified below:

Procedures Effective Dates EPP 06-002, Rev. 46A December 20, 2020 EPP 06-010, Rev. 11A December 20, 2020 The attached summary of the changes to the implementing procedures explain that these changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP. This letter contains no commitments. If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact me at (620) 364-4204.

1. Procedure EPP 06-002, Technical Support Center Operations, Rev.

46A Security has changed to a single ring security perimeter. This change leaves Main Gate North unattended and moves security access to the Security Access Facility.

This change complies with 10 CFR 73.55 requirements and there is no impact on the Emergency Plan due to this change. EPP 06-002 changes reflect the name change from Main Gate North to Security Access Facility.

The change does not reduce the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan.

2. Procedure EPP 06-010, Personnel Accountability and Evacuation, Rev. 11A Security has changed to a single ring security perimeter. This change leaves Main Gate North unattended and moves security access to the Security Access Facility.

This change complies with 10 CFR 73.55 requirements and is being addressed in the Security Plan. There is no impact on the Emergency Plan due to this change.

EPP 06-010 is being changed to reflect the name change for security access from Main Gate North to Security Access Facility.

The change does not reduce the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan.
