Docket No. 50-482: Revision of Three Forms that Implement the Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS)

Commissioners and Staff:

Three forms that implement the WCGS RERP have been revised. The revised documents are identified below:

Forms Effective Dates EPF 06-001-01 Rev. 1 April 2, 2020 EPF 06-001-03 Rev. 4 April 2, 2020 EPF 06-001-04 Rev. 3 April 2, 2020 The attached summary of the changes to the implementing forms explain that these changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP.

Revisions to the RERP are required by 10 CFR 50.54(q) to be submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) within 30 days of being revised. A submittal was not provided to the NRC within 30 days of the effective dates for the forms listed above. Condition Report 142680 was initiated to address the missed submittal.

1. Form EPF 06-001-01, NOTIFICATION OF UNUSUAL EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT, Rev. 1 The Form has been changed to make an administrative correction. A minor wording change was made to enhance the guidance being provided to station personnel.

The change does not reduce the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan.

2. Form EPF 06-001-03, SITE AREA EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT, Rev. 4 The Form has been changed to reflect the addition of Woodson County Reception Center, which will provide reception and care for evacuees from the effective 10-mile EPZ.

Several minor changes were made to reflect the addition of Woodson County Reception Center, and organizational title changes.

The changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan.

3. Form EPF 06-001-04, GENERAL EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT, Rev. 3 The Form has been changed to reflect the addition of Woodson County Reception Center, which will provide reception and care for evacuees from the effective 10-mile EPZ.
