Docket Nos. 50-482 and 72-79: Revision of One Form that Implements the Radiological Emergency Response Plan (RERP) for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS)

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(5) and 10 CFR 72.44(f), WCGS is submitting a change to the emergency plan. Specifically, one form that implements the WCGS RERP has been revised. The revised document is identified below:
Form Effective Date APF 06-002-02, Rev. 2 October 5, 2023 The attached summary of the changes to the implementing form explains that these changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the WCGS RERP.

- 1. Form APF 06-002-02, EMERGENCY ACTION LEVELS TECHNICAL BASES, Rev. 2 Form APF 06-002-02 has been revised. The form provides explanation and rationale for each emergency action level (EAL) for those responsible for making emergency classifications.
By means of Letter 000091, dated August 7, 2023, from S. S. Lee, USNRC, to Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC), the NRC issued Amendment No. 236 RE:
Revision to the Technical Specifications to adopt TSTF-554, Revise Reactor Coolant Leakage Requirements (EPID L-2022-LLA-0191).
The amendment revises the Technical Specifications (TS) definition of LEAKAGE, clarifies the requirements when pressure boundary LEAKAGE is detected and adds Required Action when pressure boundary LEAKAGE is identified. The definitions for Identified LEAKAGE and pressure boundary LEAKAGE were updated to reflect the revised TS 1.1 definitions approved in Amendment No. 236.
These changes do not reduce the effectiveness of the Wolf Creek Radiological Emergency Response Plan.
