Q.C. Checklists /ICR's/NCR's Date: 11/08/83

- I. As of late the fact has become apparent that various inspectors are still' in the habit of completing checklists and ICR's/NCR's in the QC office the following morning for the previous days inspections.

This is totally contrary to the previous instructions given to the inspection personnel during a training session by myself and R. Saklak.

All checklists and ICR's/NCR's will be initiated in the field at the time of the inspection. This will be strictly adhered to or disciplinary action will result.

II. It has also been noted that inspectors are not leaving the office until approximately 45 minute to an hour af ter the start of work in the mornings.

At noon it has been also noted that inspectors are back in the office by 11:00 a.m.

At quitting time inspectors have been observed in the office around 4:00 p.m.

It is concievable that in some instances the a

~bove situations may be justifiable, although in most cases' it appears to be just an early quit.

At present the working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

It is expected that the inspectors start for the field by 15 minutes af ter the start time and return 15 minutes prior to noon break and not more than 30 minutes prior to quiting time at the end of the day. The only exception to the rule is the Weekly QC Department Meeting.

If you are a field inspector your place of activity is in the field performing inspections, if you are occupying the office you are unproductive.
