T. F. Corcoran weld Inspection Non-Reported Backlog Chart May 16,1983
Subject:
Condition Date:
CONTROL NO: 83-05-16-01 A.
We have been correctly stating that weld inspection is current within thirty (30) days to current LKC Construction production, however, we have never charted until now a:
B.
Backlog of Weld Inspection work load to do.
The following ongoing workload is as follows; 1.
Old "Ernst Constructions", where no Installation Reports exist, to provide a Work Load Forecast where Weld Inspection was either:
a) incomplete b) incorrect or c) never inspected
\\
2.
Partial work done either by production or by inspection where we M
have suspense files due to:
a) Fire retardent as reported cedition.

COMMENT: These non-inspected items are gradually being resolved O

Configuration It is apparent that Cable Pans in various runs, by areas, are incomplete for having had no inspection reports, due to suspense reports or non-conforming reported items, etc.
Incompleted configuration or non-perforned inspections due to a previous lack of sufficient number of inspectors. The Q.C. Depart-ment having, up to now, insufficient support staff to analyze and report has also contributed to this short-f all of status reporting.

Wald Inspection Non-Reported Backlog Pg. 2 Condition that. is now uncovered May 16,1983 I
SUMMARY
- The present incomplete method of graphing inspection backlogs from only the currently supplied construction installation reports, will be supplemented by an additional input method, so that Tonja can plot graphically, two back-logs of Wald Inspection tasks to perform.
i The addition of a newly authorized Inspection Field Office Clerk, 5/16/83, to provide up to date marked / color coded prints, (due to revisions, etc.), can also generate the required data base by provi-ding written reports of those areas not yet finished by Weld Inspection, and these reports, by areas, can be used to obtain a new additional tracking graph total. Reflecting all work by weld inspection yet to perform. The graph will be enlarged to show both the thirty (30) day current with production status and the "to be added", not performed inspections, prior to November 1, 1982 status conditions.
9 The ICR/NCR's, RWR's work loads form additional tsske to be per-formed (when dispositioned or completed and submitted to inspec- ;
tion to do their work).
In addition we will require the tracking of a charting status curve, for requests to revise work, already previously closed out. These S&L authorized / directed changes requiring new inspection man-hour expenditures will be combined with the new work plot graph.
(RWR)
Example:
1) 200 a week new LKC construction Installation Reports
+ X number of RWR's = 200 + X = Total inspection work load to do.
It will take me some time to digest the total scope of work to determine the scheduling capabilities vs-available certified weld inspectors before we can advise you of where we are truly j
at and when we can be current on all fronts.
