$~0~0' control No. 84-05-09-01 The subject letter indicates a total of 19,933 items were inspected; 1,713 items were deficient, which is an 8.59% percentage.

With the above mentioned trend completed by CECO QA through the QC-US Reports, it is essential that any item on outstanding QC-US reports be inspected for' safety related items per our procedures.

The inspection should be completed af ter LKC Construction has notified the QC Department that the deficient item has been corrected.

The QC-US Reports are to be trended to ensure they are closed out in a timely manner.

A. Cable Pan Hanger Welding - Not Inspected.

. B. Conduit Hanger Welding - Not Inspected.

There were three (3) NCR's written (No.s 920, 921 and 1,085) .

Comstock QC was requested by CECO to inspect 1 of the electrical hangers with base plates 4" x 6" x Is" in siz , or hangers installed in the Unit I Containment. The results were not sent or formulated for CECO as yet.

With the above areas of concern, it is imperative that the welding ares inspect to the details, stamp the welds and that the base piste lamination be ,

cleared up and a reply sent to CECO QA. This is to be accomplished by 5-18-84 l and replied to my office.
