- Bob, In reference to the attached speed letter (5-29-84), I will be needing your input in order to specifically define the scope of our. configuration inspections (procedure 4.8.12),
Where the "CO" drawing calls out' a beam stiffner for a given conduit hanger, I had been under the assumption that G.K. Newburge installed and inspected these. Recently I have heard at least one crew from Comstock had also installed beam stiffners.
Presently where the *CO" calls for a stiffner and none are installed (during a hanger inspection) an ICR could be issued for incomplete installation.
In order to eliminate these type of ICR's I will need scoething in writting clarifying who is responsible for the installation so that I can properly direct my inspectors.
