. . UPDATE OF CURRENT INSPECTION GROUP - R. N. Saklak Superviccr cf Inrpectcrs

~

The following is a' progress report from 8-13-84 to the present.

, Raceway: Conduit inspections are current within 30 days of the Craft as far as new installations and ICR/NCR are concerned.

We have performed an initial research of QC US surveillances'in our possession and have found 148 conduits in need of inspection, research, corrective action etc. We are presently holding on any further, action isntil a decision has been made by P.C.D.

concerning P. Seltian'as letter 84-07-26-12. Also have 64 Pan

s We have also performed an initial research on "NCR's" Requaisted '

by Engineering." As you will see in other areas, this is be- l coming a royal pain a _due to unwarranted and poorly researched  ;

! requests. Nine (9), out of the 13 requests will have to be kicked l back to Engineering (See Shawn Dooley Research). l Cable Tray will soon fall behind 30

' a closer look at documentation practices. Se -only project out-standing at this' time is a review of the calibration files that

' J. Seeders did not totally complete (Ref. R. Seltaann Memo 84-08-14-02). L. Phillips has reported at our Imad Meetings of having a problem motivating J. seeders. snyder is waiting to 4 test in receipt inspections. T. Disibar has been training in calibrations. .

CABLE / PULL
Bob Tuite has released a few pulls but on an over all basis in I not.even putting a dont in this area due to the lack of safety j tray releases. . 1 i

- Se Cross Tie Pull is starting today (8-16-84) and is expected 3

i to take 3 weeks to finish. No comment received yet on whether i the' craft is going to wrok and " time" or not. F. Rolan and M. Eachner will be borrowed to help cover this pull. If any other pulls come up on a consistant basis the availability, of '

WELDING /

CgJ,gl , Se recent manpower change in this area will defintely contribute to a large backlog beyond the 30 day requirement. Presently the i only available manpower for the field work is nowman. Wicks certs.

l ran out also he has been training in calibrations and intends to go into receipts. King was in the Fab shop, now is on vacation.

I Minor and Bunter have been working on a backlog of 97 hangers in -

! . the Fab shop.

Landers has been-working inprocess. Hamilton is still not i

certified. Joe's Certs run out the 29th of August. Where do the S&L Boys Stand????? ,_ , ,

So much for the manpower, now for the Fi_n,1,s,h,,i,n,,g Big.

. ICR/NCR close to do (122) - (97) Wald - (49) Config.

\ I think the definition of 7-23-84 should be re-defined.
