Commission Order dated October 5, 1984 authorizing the staff "to grant PG8E's J

request upon making the appropriate licensing determinations".

l We have discussed the preparation of such a document with L. Chandler of OCLD.

He has recomended (in discussions with OGC), we prepare the extension in the form of an "Imediate Effective Order". We are presenting initiating such an

" Order" for Darrell G. Eisenhut signature. We estimate the order will ae i

prepared for concurrence including OELD by October 29, 1984.

We would appreciate any coments you may have on this approach.
