DAILY HIGHLIGHT DIABLO CANYON Amendment No. 9 to the low power license was issued on April 18, 1984 The amendment (1) requires PG&E to complete certain jet impingement analyses prior to exceeding 5% power; (2) requires PG&E to revalidate the seismic design bases for Diablo Canyon; and (3) extends the license expiration date to September 22, 1984 On April 14, 1984 we issued an Order Modifying the License. The modification requires PG&E to verify or perform certain analyses for piping and piping supports.
This requirement was established by the NRC Review Group on Diablo Canyon Piping Issues.
