e cDiablo Canyon On October 31, 1984 the US Court of Appeals lifted the stay for issuance of the Diablo Canyon Unit 1 full power license which it had granted on August 17, 1984.
Accordingly, on November 2, 1984 the Director for NRR issued Facility Operating License DPR-80, authorizing full power operation of Diablo Canyon Unit 1 (3338 megawatt thermal). The Unit is currently in hot standby at 350*F, is scheduled to go critical on Saturday, and exceed 5% by late Monday. Full Power operation is expected in approximately 2 months.
