Dear Sir:
Please refer to our March 7, 1984 letter reporting a potential 10CFR21 problem with a Westinghouse Relay Type SA-1.
The problem with the Westinghouse Relay was reported in NRC Report, IE Infonnation Notice No. 83-63, Supplement 1, dated February 15, 1984.
We sent a copy of our March 7, 1984 letter to Grand Gulf on March 8, 1984.
We have been in contact with RTE DELTA Switchgear; who furnished the equipment to Transamerica Delaval, for Grand Gulf, with the Westinghouse Relay in question.
RTE DELTA has advised us that if Grand Gulf upgrades the equip-ment in question, they would like to be informed, so that they may modify their records. 'Ihey also stated that if Transamerica Delaval or Grand Gulf wishes the to participate in upgrading the equipment, they would be glad to do so, if they are so advised.
We will send a copy of this letter to Grand Gulf. Unless we hear otherwise, we will consider this matter closed. We are basing our action on the following infornntion: The Camtission has knowledge of the Relay problem; Grand Gulf has knowledge of the problem; and the necessary infonnation to resolve it.
