Dear Ms. Cyphert:

Enclosed herewith is a letter of May 3, 1979, transmitting a copy of invoice no. 106628 regarding the bill of $598.51 which is due Houston Lighting and Power Company from the Department of Justice. This is a bill for documents copied on August 31, 1978, and according -

to the attached letter, was still unpaid as of May 1979.

Accordingly, Houston's records do not evidence receipt of the check which you claim was issued on October 27, 1978. I therefore request that you institute a search to obtain the cancelled check, if in fact such a check exists.

In light of your assurances such a search will be instituted and that payment of other outstanding bills

.for copying will be forthcoming, copies of the documents relating to Dr. Gerber that the Department selected are available for the Department to pick up at any Icutually convenient time.
