Dear Mr. Newman:
My client is Citizen's Concerned about Nuclear Power (CCANP), an intervenor in the above-numbered administrative licensing proceeding concerning the South Texas Nuclear project.
Your firm has requested personal records from the Selective Service System concerning my co-counsel, Lanny Sinkin, another attorney / representative of CCNAP.
Mr. Sinkin, as an individual, is not my client.
A review of your most recent letter on this matter, dated February 20, 1985, indicates that this distinction between client and counsel is apparently lost on you.
We must continue to strenuously object to this breach of professional ethics and demand a public apology by either your firm or your client, depending upon who authorized the inquiry.
Let me apologize for the fact that you find our objections insulting.
