Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1 Docket No. 50-346, License Number NPF-3 Notification of Completion of A License Renewal Commitment Related to the Review of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1, License Renewal Application (TAC No. ME4640) and License Renewal Application Amendment No. 45 By letter dated August 27, 2010 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML102450565), FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) submitted an application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 54 for renewal of Operating License NPF-3 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 1 (Davis-Besse). By letter dated June 24, 2011 (ML11180A060), FENOC provided license renewal future Commitment 43 in response to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) request for additional information B.1.4-1.
Commitment 43 describes actions necessary to enhance the operating experience review process to align with current NRC guidance.
By letter dated January 7, 2013 (ML13008A330), FENOC stated that actions had been completed to address the new operating experience program guidance identified in NRC License Renewal Interim Staff Guidance (ISG) document LR-ISG-2011-05, "Ongoing Review of Operating Experience." The actions described in license renewal future Commitment 43, therefore, have been completed, and the License Renewal Application is revised accordingly.
The Enclosure provides Amendment No. 45 to the Davis-Besse License Renewal Application.
