Dear Sir:
On March 8, 1994, Secretary Chilk informed you that the - -
Commission has received your letter of December ~13, 1993, which renewed your request for an adjudicatory hearing regarding the decommissioning activities at the Yankee Nuclear Power Station
(" Yankee NPS"). He also informed you that the Commission was reviewing a formal petition seeking hearings regarding decommissioning activities at Yankee NPS, and that the Commission would respond to your letter of December 13, 1993, as soon as a decision had been inaued in response to that petition.
The Comminaion has now issued a decision in response to that petition.
As you can see from that decision, a copy of which is enclosed for your review, the Commission has ruled that the Component Removal Program ("CRP") at Yankee NPS does not involve any activity Therefore, that requires the offer of an adjudicatory hearing.
the Commission has denied your renewed request for an adjudicatory hearing regarding the CRP.for the reasons stated in the attached order and in the Commionion's letters to you dated November 18, 1993 and January 4, 1994.
Thin letter constitutes the Commission's final response to your letter of December 13, 1993.
